Hi everyone, I’m Moulik.Indias youngest matchmaker, Founder of Make My Knot.
I come from a matchmaking family that has been in this industry for over 50 years. In our house, matchmaking was never a business. It was a responsibility.
One wrong match didn’t end with a refund. It stayed with the family as a regret. I’ve grown up seeing parents worry about their children’s future. I’ve seen couples struggle because no one asked the right questions early.
Today, everything is about finding a match quickly. But very little is about preparing people for marriage. We match on salary, looks, caste, and city. But we rarely talk about: How two people communicate, how they handle conflict, how families will be involved What life after marriage will actually look like
Most people figure this out after marriage. And by then, the damage is already done. That’s why at Make My Knot, we decided to do something different. We became the first in India to introduce pre-marriage counselling as part of the matchmaking journey.
Not because something is wrong with couples. But because marriage deserves clarity before commitment. We work with experienced counsellors who help couples have honest conversations before they say yes.
Being called India’s youngest matchmaker isn’t my achievement. It’s my responsibility. I’m trying to carry 50 years of trust into today’s world without losing what mattered most.
